JOHN BARBOUR — The father of reality TV; host of Real People; filmmaker behind The Garrison Tapes and The Second Assassination of John Kennedy. Barbour passed away on May 10, 2026.
GINA BELAFONTE — Daughter of actor and activist Harry Belafonte, who was a close friend of both Martin Luther King, Jr. and President Kennedy.
G. ROBERT BLAKEY — Chief counsel to the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA). Found evidence of conspiracy in RFK and MLK murders. Blakey passed away on May 1, 2026.
ABRAHAM BOLDEN — The first black Secret Service agent assigned to the White House; hired directly by JFK. He heard Lyndon Johnson make incriminating and racist comments. Author of The Echo from Dealey Plaza.
TONY BOUZA — New York police officer from 1953-1979. Initially served as a detective in the undercover unit known as the Bureau of Special Services and Investigation (BOSSI). Was part of operations targeting Malcolm X. Bouza passed away on June 26, 2023. Final interview.
WALTER BOWE — Member of Malcolm X’s organization, the OAAU. Eyewitness to the alleged plot to remove security from Malcolm in days leading up to his death.
BRIGADE 2506 VETERANS — CIA-sponsored group of anti-Castro Cuban exiles formed in 1960 to attempt the military overthrow of the Cuban government. They carried out the abortive Bay of Pigs invasion in Cuba on April 17, 1961.
JUDGE JOE BROWN — Judge who was prepared to grant convicted MLK assassin James Earl Ray another trial, but was removed before he could do so. Later a famous television judge.
EARL CALDWELL — New York Times reporter; chronicled some of the most important civil rights events of the 1960s. He was the only reporter present when Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated and was an eyewitness to the shooter in the bushes.
CLAYBORNE CARSON — Professor of History at Stanford and former director of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Research and Education Institute. Since 1985, he has directed the Martin Luther King Papers Project.
JASON CARTER — Lawyer, politician and grandson of President Jimmy Carter.
XERNONA CLAYTON — Civil rights leader and broadcasting executive who worked with MLK.

WALTER FAUNTROY — D.C. congressman and friend of MLK who helped organize the March on Washington and the Poor People’s Campaign. He went on to play a leading role in the HSCA.
FERNANDO FAURA — Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter who discovered evidence of multiple assassins at the Ambassador Hotel the night Senator Robert Kennedy was killed. Faura passed away on April 17, 2018
VINCENT FELDMAN — Son of Harold Feldman, the early JFK assassination researcher and brother-in-law of famed Kennedy researcher Vince Salandria.
ISAAC FARRIS — Nephew of MLK. Isaac organized his family to challenge the official story of his uncle’s death.
MARIE FONZI — Widow of Gaeton Fonzi, HSCA investigator who interviewed Antonio Veciana, the anti-Castro Cuban leader who saw Lee Harvey Oswald with his own CIA handler.
DONALD FREED — Co-screenwriter (with Dalton Trumbo and Mark Lane) of Executive Action, the first major Hollywood film to examine the Kennedy assassination.
JAMES GALBRAITH — Son of John Kenneth Galbraith, President Kennedy’s confidant, speechwriter, and ambassador to India.
NEIL GALLAGHER — New Jersey congressman; chaired the Subcommittee on the Invasion of Privacy; an early critic of J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI. Gallagher passed away on October 17, 2018. Final interview.
LEWIS GARRISON — Memphis attorney who represented Loyd Jowers. Jowers, while alive, admitted a role in the assassination of MLK and, through attorney Garrison, admitted to being the shooter after his death. Garrison passed away on September 2, 2020. Final interview.
DONALD GIBSON — Professor of sociology; his doctoral research on social power and U.S. economic problems during the 1970s and ’80s led him to write Battling Wall Street: The Kennedy Presidency. He also investigated the assassination of President Kennedy.
MAX GOOD — Director, The Assassination & Mrs. Paine.
DICK GREGORY — Legendary comedian and political activist; friend of MLK and Malcolm X; spearheaded efforts to get new investigations into the murders of JFK and MLK; instrumental in the first national broadcast of the Zapruder film. Gregory passed away on August 19, 2017. Final interview.
ROBERT GRODEN — Author who has written extensively about the assassination of JFK. His books include The Killing of a President: The Complete Photographic Record of the JFK Assassination. Groden is a photo-optics technician who served as a photographic consultant for the HSCA and who was instrumental in getting the first broadcast of the Zapruder film on national television.
ARTHUR HANES, JR. — Attorney and son of former Birmingham mayor and attorney Art Hanes, Sr. Father and son briefly represented James Earl Ray after the assassination of MLK. Hanes Jr. believes Ray was set up and that the government could not have proved him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt absent a coerced guilty plea, which Ray immediately tried to withdraw.
DAN HARDWAY — Congressional investigator in charge of examining CIA involvement in the JFK assassination.
Douglas Horne — Chief Analyst for Military Records, JFK Assassination Records Review Board (AARB); aided in the tracking down and release of early-1960s military records on Vietnam and Cuba; conducted witness interviews and depositions pertaining to President Kennedy’s autopsy; studied the authenticity of the Zapruder film; testified about the JFK assassination before the House Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets in May 2025; author of the memoir Inside the ARRB and the essay collection JFK’s War with the National Security Establishment.
SAINT JOHN HUNT — Son of E. Howard Hunt, a CIA officer involved in Watergate, the coup in Guatemala, the Bay of Pigs invasion and the Kennedy assassination. Saint‘s father gave him a taped confession in which he admitted his involvement in the plot to kill the president.
JESSE JACKSON — Adviser to Martin Luther King, Jr.; was at the Lorraine Motel when King was assassinated. Rev. Jackson passed away on February 17, 2026.
STEVE JAFFE — Assassination investigator for New Orleans D.A. Jim Garrison. Brought a purloined copy of the Zapruder film to Garrison, as well as a manuscript about the assassination penned by French intelligence. Jaffe testified as a forensic expert before the Rockefeller Commission and aided in the production of Executive Action.
PETER JANNEY — Son of CIA officer Wistar Janney, a friend of JFK’s mistress Mary Meyer, and author of Mary’s Mosaic.
CLARENCE JONES — Lawyer and confidant to MLK; liaison to Malcolm X; smuggled Dr. King’s “Letter from a Birmingham Jail” out to the public.
ROBERT F. KENNEDY, JR. — Son of Attorney General and murdered presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Sr. RFK, Jr. has done the most of his generation of Kennedys to understand the reality behind his father and uncle’s murders. Stood up for Sirhan Sirhan at his parole hearing and maintains Sirhan‘s innocence in the death of RFK.
KATHLEEN KENNEDY-TOWNSEND — Daughter of Attorney General RFK.
DR. ALVEDA KING — MLK’s niece; former Georgia state representative; daughter of civil rights activists Alfred and Naomi King; author of the nonfiction book King Truths and other titles focusing on MLK’s ideology.

REV. DR. DEREK BARBER KING — MLK’s nephew; former longtime minister of Atlanta’s Ebenezer Baptist Church; son of activists Alfred and Naomi King; frequent lecturer on nonviolence and civil rights.

JOHN J. KIRBY, JR. — Member, Civil Rights Division, Kennedy and Johnson Justice Departments,1961-68. As a summer intern in 1961, he discovered the mechanism by which black Americans were being denied the vote in Mississippi. John Kirby Jr. passed away on October 2, 2019. First and final interview.

PAUL LANDIS — Secret Service agent in JFK’s motorcade on November 22, 1963; was present inside Trauma Room One at Parkland Memorial Hospital when JFK was declared dead; witnessed LBJ taking the oath of office on Air Force One; author of The Final Witness: A Kennedy Secret Service Agent Breaks His Silence After Sixty Years. The Warren Commission never even interviewed him.
LEWIS LAPHAM — Former editor-in-chief of Harper’s Magazine and Lapham's Quarterly. Lapham passed away on July 23, 2024.
REVEREND JAMES LAWSON — Board member, Southern Christian Leadership Conference; founder of Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee; a key advisor to Martin Luther King, Jr., who called him “the leading theorist and strategist of nonviolence in the world.” Rev. Lawson passed away on June 9, 2024.
GERALD LEFCOURT — Renowned radical attorney for the “Panther 21,” Fred Hampton, and Abbie Hoffman.
JAMES LESAR — President of the Assassination Archives and Research Center; instrumental in the release of the JFK assassination files.
JENNIFER LOWENSTEIN LITTLEFIELD — Wife of Congressman Allard Lowenstein, the activist who conceived of the “Dump Johnson” movement; later Allard was among the first to research the murder of Senator Robert Kennedy and was later himself the victim of assassination.
MARITA LORENZ — Fidel Castro’s lover who was later recruited by the CIA to assassinate him. She testified before the HSCA, stating that she had traveled to Dallas with a group of anti-Castro militants, including Frank Sturgis and E. Howard Hunt, shortly before the JFK‘s assassination. Lorenz passed away on August 31, 2019.
GRAEME MacQUEEN — Founding director of the Centre for Peace Studies at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. MacQueen passed away on April 25, 2023. Final interview.
RICHARD D. MAHONEY— Son of William Mahoney, Jr., JFK’s ambassador to Ghana; former Arizona secretary of state; director of North Carolina State University’s School of Public and International Affairs from 2012 through 2018; author of JFK: Ordeal in Africa and The Kennedy Brothers: The Rise and Fall of Jack and Bobby.

RUTH PAINE — Patron of Marina Oswald. Lee Harvey Oswald’s rifle was found in her garage. Paine passed away on August 31, 2025.
WILLIAM PEPPER — Attorney who represented James Earl Ray in the assassination of MLK and Sirhan Sirhan in the assassination of RFK. Author of An Act of State: The Execution of Martin Luther King and The Plot to Kill King: The Truth Behind the Assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Pepper passed away on April 7, 2024.
JERRY POLICOFF — Executive Director, Assassination Archives Research Center; major critic of the media’s handling of the Kennedy assassination. Pepper passed away on April 7, 2024.
DUNCAN RAGSDALE — Attorney for Grace Walden, who was committed to a state mental hospital after she witnessed a man other than James Earl Ray fleeing the scene on the day Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated.
ED REDDITT’S CHILDREN — Kelvin Redditt and Charlotte Brooks, son and daughter of Ed Redditt of the Memphis Police Department. Reddit was pulled off MLK’s security detail on the day of King‘s assassination.
JIM ROSENALT — Acclaimed JFK assassination researcher; lawyer; author of four history books, including Ballots and Bullets; frequent guest on LiveNOW from FOX; regular contributor to Politico, The Washington Post, and Vanity Fair; his 2023 piece about JFK Secret Service agent Paul Landis was one of VF’s most-read articles that year.
MORT SAHL — Comedian; wrote jokes for President Kennedy; gave up a lucrative career to be an investigator for Jim District Attorney Jim Garrison. Sahl passed away on October 26, 2021. Final interview.
VINCE SALANDRIA — Attorney; Warren Commission critic; and author of False Mystery: Essays on the Assassination of JFK; the godfather of assassination researchers. Salandria was the first to challenge Arlen Specter about the “magic bullet.” Salandria passed away on August 23, 2020. Final interview.
KHALEEL SAYYED — OAAU member who was supposed to act as security for Malcolm X the day he died but was removed because he was lured into a plot to blow up the Statue of Liberty.
STEPHEN SCHLESINGER — Son of Arthur Schlesinger, who was Special Assistant to JFK. Stephen is the author of Bitter Fruit, the story of the CIA coup in Guatemala.
E. MARTIN SCHOTZ — Friend of original JFK researcher Vincent Salandria; author of History Will Not Absolve Us, a book about the JFK assassination.
PAUL SCHRADE — RFK’s labor adviser; was shot in the head during the RFK assassination. Schrade was a major advocate for the release of convicted assassin Sirhan Sirhan, whom he argued could not have shot Kennedy from behind. Schrade passed away on November 9, 2022. Final interview.

ILYASAH SHABAZZ — Daughter of Malcolm X; author of the memoir Growing Up X and the biography Malcolm in the Desert, among other books.

ROLAND SHEPPARD — Witness to the assassination of Malcolm X; saw one of his killers roaming freely in an NYPD precinct office immediately afterward.
ZACHARY SKLAR — Book editor who edited Jim Garrision’s On the Trail of the Assassins; and screenwriter who cowrote the Oliver Stone film JFK.
JAMES SMALL — Succeeded Malcolm X as Imam for Muslim Mosque, Inc.
COBY SMITH — A member of the Invaders, a group that provided security for MLK in Memphis; claims the organization was penetrated by federal agencies.
STEPHEN KENNEDY SMITH — Nephew of JFK; editor of JFK: A Vision for America; and Kennedy family historian.
MAX STANFORD, aka DR. MUHAMMAD AHMAD — Founder of Revolutionary Action Movement (RAM); worked with Malcolm X.
WILLIE STARKS — Security officer for the Organization for African American Unity OAAU; witness at Malcolm X’s assassination; claims to have wounded one of the shooters.
OLIVER STONE — Filmmaker who directed the movie JFK, which led directly to an act of Congress mandating the release of all remaining classified documents pertaining to the president’s murder. The government remains in violation of the act.
ROGER STONE — Political operative and author of The Man Who Killed Kennedy: The Case Against LBJ.
DAVID TALBOT — Journalist; author; cofounder of Salon.com; wrote two seminal books on the Kennedy Assassination: Brothers: The Hidden Story of the Kennedy Years and The Devil’s Chessboard.
USS LIBERTY VETERANS — Men who served on the lightly armed surveillance ship Liberty when it was attacked in international waters by Israeli forces during the Six-Day War of June 1967. Thirty-three American servicemen and one civilian were killed in the incident, and over 170 others were wounded; then-Senator RFK famously characterized the attack as a tragic error.
DOUG VALENTINE — Author of The Phoenix Program and The CIA as Organized Crime.
CYRUS VANCE, JR. — Former Manhattan D.A. who fought to exonerate two of the men who served time for killing Malcolm X.
ANTONIO VECIANA — Cuban exile who became the founder and leader of the anti-Castro group Alpha 66. He told the HSCA hat a representative for the CIA he knew as Maurice Bishop directed him to organize Alpha 66 and helped plan many of the group’s operations, including two assassination attempts on Fidel Castro. Veciana also claimed that he met a man he later recognized to be Lee Harvey Oswald during a meeting with Bishop about two to three months prior to the JFK assassination. Veciana passed away on June 18, 2020. Final interview.
JAMES WAGENVOORD — Editorial Business Manager for Life magazine and assistant to the Executive Editor. The weekend after JFK‘s assassination in 1963, a federal agent handed him. Wagenvoord passed away on July 26, 2022. Final interview.
ADAM WALINSKY — Robert F. Kennedy’s aide and speechwriter; wrote the famous “GNP speech” for RFK, which asked if the Gross National Product was an adequate measure of freedom, health and happiness. Walinsky passed away in November 2023. Final interview.
CYRIL WECHT — World-renowned coroner who reviewed JFK autopsy materials and advised on the RFK autopsy; was the lone voice testifying before the HSCA that the so-called “magic bullet” could not have inflicted the seven wounds discovered on President Kennedy and Governor Connally. Wecht passed away on May 13, 2024.

MORRIS WOLFF — Civil rights counsel in JFK’s White House; as legislative aide for then-US Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, he helped create and pass the 1964 Civil Rights Act; recipient of the 1993 United Nations Peace Award for Humanitarian Service; renowned scholar, humanitarian, and human rights lawyer.
REGGIE WOOD — Nephew of NYPD BOSSI agent Raymond Wood. Ray Wood entrapped members of Malcolm X’s security team in a plot to blow up the Statue of Liberty; he later wrote a confession letter to his nephew.
